Licensed In-Home Massage Therapy
Pain is the body's way of saying, "Stop" or "Back off". Having a massage that is too painful (i.e. not a "good" pain) is counterproductive. Massage that is too deep or too painful can damage tissues and cause bruising, swelling, or further injury to problems that already exist. Pain threshold is different for every person and should never be exceeded past the point of discomfort. This is why pressure and technique are constantly evaluated and adjusted to meet your personal preferences. Many clients who are worried about pain being inflicted on them find my massage to be a deeply relaxing and beneficial experience.
